 The Samsung GALAXY Note II has already started receiving Android 4.4.2, although the update for now is limited to a single variant of the device in France. And those in France with the GT-N7100, can only receive the KitKat version of the OS by syncing their phablet to a desktop PC, and pulling out the update from Samsung Kies. The build number is N7100XXUFND3.

 Samsung is now listing User Agent profiles for the SM-T705 and SM-T700 tablets, thus confirming their existence. The UA profiles reveal that the SM-T705 and SM-T700 run Android 4.4 KitKat, and feature displays with 1600 x 2560 pixels.

Not long ago, we heard that the SM-T700 might be an 8.4-inch AMOLED tablet. While we can’t be certain of this yet, at least we now know that Samsung is indeed working on this new high-end slate.

An attorney for Google testified in court that it would take over the defense against some of Apple’s claims in the patent lawsuit between Apple and Samsung. The move is part of a contractual agreement between Google and Samsung, where the former would indemnify the latter should Samsung suffer a loss as a result of whatever the ruling ends up being.
