Besides announcing fictional products or services as part of the April Fools’ Day routine, some companies also made genuine announcements today. Not long after Samsung officially introduced its Galaxy Tab 4 slates, Lenovo unveiled new Android tablets, too, All part of a new A-Series, Lenovo’s new slates are the A10-70, A8-50, A7-50, and A7-30.
The A10-70 is the largest among the new Lenovo tablets, as it sports a 10.1-inch “wide HD” display. Other known features of the A10-70 include dual front speakers with Dolby sound, and a quad-core processor. The A8-50 also offers Dolby-enhanced speakers and a quad-core processor, but its HD display only measures 8 inches.As for the Lenovo A7-50 and A7-30, both come with 7 inch screens. The A7-50 has a “wide-view HD display,” quad-core processor, 2MP cameras on the rear and front, and optional 3G connectivity. The A7-30 seems to resemble the A7-50, although its model number suggests it has fewer (or lower-end) features.
All the new tablets will be available starting this quarter, when we should find out more about their features (including what version of Android they are running). Lenovo revealed the tablets’ prices for the UK only: £169.99 (A10-70), £139.99 (A8-50), and £99.99 (A7-50). We’re assuming that the A7-30 will be even
cheaper.
