ZTE Grand S II allegedly outperforms Samsung's 

Galaxy Note 3 in benchmark test

Announced by ZTE back in January at CES 2014, the Grand S II is the company’s latest extra-large flagship smartphone. The new handset should be launched in the near future, probably in China first. Until then, Chinese website CNMO benchmarked the Grand S II in AnTuTu to reveal that the smartphone scored a bit higher thanSamsung’s Galaxy Note 3 (34,938 vs. 34,652).

Of course, that doesn’t necessarily mean the Grand S II is better than the Galaxy Note 3. But it is somewhat of a proof that the device can stand next any other high-end, large
smartphone (or phablet) out there.

The Grand S II runs Android 4.3 Jelly Bean, unfortunately, but an update to KitKat will most likely be available at some point. The new handset offers a pretty nice set of features, including a 5.5 inch IPS display with 1080 x 1920 pixels, HSPA+ and LTE connectivity, a 13MP rear camera, quad-core Snapdragon 800 processor clocked at 2.3GHz, 2GB of RAM, 16GB of internal memory, and a 3,000 mAh battery.

ZTE will likely release the Grand S II in various countries around the world. We’ll let you know when we
