Smartphone screen sizes increased considerably in the last years, so much that manufacturers are now releasing smartphones that are almost as large as some tablets (this making the term phablet rather unnecessary). Obviously, this is becoming a problem for some users. Well, leave it to the Japanese to solve it.

A few years ago, Qantas airlines conducted some trials with in-flight internet access for flights over Australia, but has pretty much abandoned offering the service due to lack of usage. In-flight Wi-Fi is offered on some international flights, but the experience is not what one would call consistent.
