For all its robustness and feature richness, Android (and iOS, frankly) is full of little things that just don't work as seamlessly as you expect them to. And more often than not, these things get in the way of an otherwise leisury user experience and end up quite frustrating. Here's a common case – say you're trying to copy and paste a piece of text or other content from some application, but you can't because the app won't let you do that for some reason. And you won't go on busting your fingers retyping all that information, will you now? It's 2016, it has to be better than that!

The days when Nokia ruled the smartphone and mobile phone markets are long gone - we all know that. The Finnish company sold off its Devices and Services unit to Microsoft this year, so it’s no longer a phone maker. Still, we mustn’t forget all the great phones that Nokia released throughout the years. Right now, though, we’ll present you some of the company’s weirdest phone designs (which may, or may not have been great).

Somewhat similar to the HTC Hub, the new Clock Hub app in the Windows Phone Store can be pinned to a Live Tile in Windows Phone 8.1. Not only will it give you the correct time, the app also brings you the latest weather information from your current location. And if you don't care what it is like outside, or you're stuck inside all day, you have the option of removing the weather from the screen. Another option allows you to use 24 hour military time, if you so desire.

We've all had the same problem at one point or another. You are trying to send a message to a friend, and rather than what you had intended to say, your text ends up being autocorrected to something like, "That is some bull shot. He should be run out of town for the ducking shirt he did." Obviously, this is not the intended message, and it loses its meaning when you autocorrect the swear words.

According to notorious tipster @eveleaks, Nokia has a smorgasbord of handsets coming down the pipeline. Queue the Nokia Ara, Leo, Moonraker, Onyx, Peridot, Superman, Tesla, and Vantage codenames.

The Finnish phone maker is in the final stages of its acquisition deal with Microsoft, and one would think that Nokia will slow down until the software giant is mulling the next steps for its Windows Phones, like the eventual rebranding that will follow, for example. Thus, it's not entirely clear if those eight upcoming handsets will be from the Asha and featurephone line that will keep carrying the Nokia logo, from the Lumia line that will eventually be renamed by Microsoft, or a mixture of both, which might have been in the planning before the acquisition. In any case, we are to expect plenty of handsets from the Finns further down the line, and, hopefully, Microsoft will announce soon what are its plans for the homebrew Windows Phone portfolio.

is the Nokia Lumia 635 for T-Mobile?

is the Nokia Lumia 635 for T-Mobile?

As March was coming to an end, a tweet from evleaks revealed a new handset coming to T-Mobile, called the Nokia Monarch. With a royal name like that, we theorized that this would be a high-end Windows Phone model. But a new tweet from the master leaker reveals that the Nokia Monarch is actually the Nokia Lumia 635.

The Nokia Lumia 635 is an entry-level model that will also be available from AT&T and T-Mobile's pre-paid house, MetroPCS. With a 4.5 inch LCD screen offering 480 x 854 resolution, the Nokia Lumia 635 Monarch is powered by a quad-core 1.2GHz Snapdragon 400 CPU. 512MB of RAM is inside, along with 8GB of native storage. Thankfully, the microSD slot on the phone has a 128GB capacity. A 5MP front-facing snapper with an f/2.4 aperture is included, and an 1830mAh cell keeps the lights on.

U.S. carriers are beginning to brand Nokia's new handsets with names instead of numbers. Verizon named the Nokia Lumia 929 the Nokia Lumia Icon and now we have the Nokia Monarch. T-Mobile has big plans for the new handset, with expectations that the device could outsell the Nokia Lumia 521. That model is the T-Mobile branded version of the Nokia Lumia 520, the largest selling Windows Phone model of all time.

Lumia 630

Lumia 630

Stephen Elop just unveiled the new Lumia 630 and 635 smartphones. Aiming to become what the Lumia 520/521 meant for Windows Phone 8, they are expected to bring “an uncompromised Microsoft experience and Lumia experience at low price points”. Both feature 4.5-inch ClearBlack displays with FWGA (480x854) resolutions and run on Snapdragon 400 quad-core CPUs. They will be available in five colors with the option of changeable plastic back-panels shells.

How are the two smartphones different? Here's the nitty-gritty: the Lumia 630 is available in 3G single-SIM and 3G dual-SIM variants, which is finally made possible in Windows Phone 8.1. Meanwhile, the Lumia 635 is a single-SIM only, 4G/LTE-connected smartphone.

Microsoft recognizes the importance of dual-SIM functionality for their customers in the developing markets and has given special attention to it. The dual-SIM Lumia 630's home screen is graced by two individual tiles for each SIM card. Each card can be separately assigned to work only with specific contacts, so users can, for example, call their family and friends through one card, and call their business contacts through the other. This way, different contacts categories can be kept in two separate communication zones, so to speak.

The Sensor Core seems like a promising addition
As both the Lumia 630 and 630 sport decent processing power, they will be treated to all upcoming Windows Phone 8.1 features, including Cortana. They also have an unique property - a Sensor Core – which definitely echoes the Moto X's special tricks. The phones have in-built motion and location tracking sensors which, sort of, emulate the functionality of

Nokia Lumia 930 leaks out: a Lumia Icon look-alike
The Nokia Lumia 930 has just leaked out, mere hours before today’s Nokia event, and it looks almost exactly like the earlier released Lumia Icon. The Icon launched as an exclusive handset for Verizon Wireless in the United States, and it was not available for purchase globally. The Lumia 930, as a nearly identical-looking copy, is likely to change that, as expectations are that it will see a much wider availability.
